From “Scambled Eggs” to “Yesterday”

One of the most covered songs in pop music history (reportedly more than 2,500 versions have been recorded ) was released on Sept. 2, 1965. The original working title was”Scrambled Eggs,” but it became “Yesterday.”

Although it’s officially a Beatles song (and credited as a Lennon/McCartney composition), only Paul McCartney is playing on the track.
